Just limit the "Players can see the guys tyoping thingy" to 100 blocks or something.

Ipad + stress = not your best friend

Just limit the talking range from "Across the whole map" to "100 meters from where you stand" to fix that problem. I have experienced that you could only hear people who was 200 blocks close to you :)
