Despite being one of my favorite gamemodes, Tower defenders disappointed me due to the wasted potential. Rather than being what I thought was going to be like king of the hill or domination with some crazy kits and abilities, was just another skywars gimmick. What I've always thought would make an amazing tower defenders map was Kitpvp 2's map.

This is in my opinion a perfect map for a gamemode like Tower Defenders. It will be a 12 player map consisting of two teams, one which will spawn towards the beach (The home tower will be on the sand island) and the other team will spawn towards the camping site (the home tower will be on the snow mountain). There will also be a larger tower in the middle, and a tower in the center of the town, as well as another tower beneath the mossy tower.

The map shouldn't be identical to how it is in KitPvP, but maybe have a fancy makeover, similar to how the hub was given a fancy makeover for Halloween.
The score will go up to 10,000 points
Middle tower: 25 points per second
sand island tower: 10 points per second
snow mountain tower: 10 points per second
Beneath mossy tower: 15 points per second
Center of town tower: 15 points per second

Sounds like a cool idea, but don't you think it'd be a bit too big? ;o
No, I don't think so. If you play a time based game the size doesn't really matter(as long as you can reach your goal in a playable amount of time). A big map has more potential for cool stuff where you really have to play tactical, there where a small map you can easy take (out) your target. For non-time based games a small map would indeed be better to make sure the target is get before sunrise(@ campers who don't move).

Actually you're right, I reckon the map's a little big for only 12 players on the map. Perhaps 12v12 would be a more adequate team size. I wouldn't worry about the games lasting too long either since at least one team will be constantly scoring points, and eggwars games usually last at least 30 minutes at a time and yet it's one of the more popular gamemodes on the server.

Because firstly it's a really attractive map that would suit Tower Defenders, and secondly because Tower Defenders is kind of unpopular. I rarely, if ever, see more than three Tower Defenders lobbies running at one time.

+1 Awesome idea I like all the skywars gimmicks, but this seems better for the game called tower defenders. I hope the anti-hack plugin gets added before this happens though, else the hackers will just dominate the game... ;-;

I've had the same idea for a while now but you seem to explain yourself a whole lot more. I totally agree, however, I feel 3 towers would be preferable than having 5, each tower giving the same amount of points. This will lead to more PvP between players, a lot more suspense, less camping and a bigger team effort. But that's just an idea.
If this idea gets accepted, I'm ready to create a map for it. I've been having an idea about this for the longest of ages.

I'm not really that much into that tower defence but I'll do my best to give some ideas that might be good.

Would it be possible to make maps designed forx players or it won't start. So you can build maps where there 3 players for each tower per team. That way you can defend your tower and also do good team attack if you have less towers.

Make close and far from base towers that vary in point for each team. Ex. the tower that is close to team left gives 5 pps and 25 for team right.

Also, in many servers I play games like this (the way I think it is) are a lot of spawn killers. So in that kind of map would it be an idea to make two or three spawnlocations you can't enter once you left it. Those spawns will have again two or three exits to make sure that if there is a spawnkiller you can leave at another exit.

I don't know if these ideas are relavant but at least I tried to be usefull on this.

^-^ It's good to see somebody who feels the same way. Tower defenders is fun, but it doesn't really belong in the sky in my opinion.
