aww little man angy over game? sbmm has been great for me and i support this update alot because it makes the game more fun for me.
Casual players support SBMM because it reduces the number of times they lose, right?

However, making a decision based solely on the fact that it makes the game easier for yourself is a bad approach.

SBMM can interpret hackers as high-win-rate, high-skilled players and put them into matches with top players. This results in top players ending up in matches full of hackers. They just lose to hackers, have their win streaks broken, get frustrated, and eventually move to other better servers.

Agreed. SBMM is going to hurt the server more than help it. It basically turned normal queues into ranked queues. Like what you said, playing well will make your future matches much more difficult. Input based matchmaking is fine as it is. SBMM is likely going to funnel high CPS sweats in your matches if you're good at the game and make it a nightmare to play, and I can't compete against that! The main reason I avoided playing on the other server I won't name is because its too sweaty, which makes it not enjoyable. I enjoy CubeCraft because the games are fun without it being too easy or sweaty every game, it's medium most of the time.
If CubeCraft wanted to turn public matches (normal matches) into ranked matches by adding SBMM, I would have preferred them to add a separate ranked mode instead. That way, there probably would have been much less criticism from the community.

The primarily real issues ive really noticed are that
1. hackers are common(this is an anticheat problem)
2. regional match making
from what i can tell the issue most seem to have with sbmm is not actually sbmm but rather a lack of regional based match making. i think both system could be implemented with regional base match making being prioritized over sbmm

The reason there are so many hackers is because of the anti-cheat, but until the anti-cheat is improved, top players are basically forced to endure this nightmare.

After SBMM was introduced, matches that would normally take place in the appropriate region are now being played in inappropriate regions. Prioritizing the appropriate region would increase matchmaking times, so I doubt CubeCraft will make such a change.

Hello, it is possible you were recently being sent outside of the Asia region more frequently because of some networking issues we were running into. There should be more Asia servers available in general now.

The introduction of SBMM does not affect the region you get sent to, actually, our new system makes it harder for you to be sent to a different region if there are no other players in your queue, so this might just be an impression. The rest of your feedback is valid, I just wanted to clarify.

Now that I think about it, this is actually way too convenient for hackers.

I played a few BedWars games just now, and I encountered one player who seemed suspicious. However, because of SBMM, it has become much harder to tell whether someone is simply a sweat or a hacker using Velocity or Reach.

Before SBMM was introduced, I rarely encountered sweats, so if someone was moving or fighting in a way that seemed abnormal, it was easier to suspect that they were hacking and report them through /report or the forums.

Now that SBMM has significantly increased the chances of being matched with sweats, it’s much harder to distinguish between highly skilled players and hackers. This may make players more hesitant to report suspicious players because they can’t be sure whether they are actually hacking or simply very skilled.

As a result, there could be fewer reports, which may make it easier for hackers to go unnoticed and remain unchecked.

Hi😘🌹
Remove SBMM as soon as possible. This isn’t Skill-Based Matchmaking anymore—it’s Hack-Based Matchmaking. I’m getting matched with hackers more often, and it’s just not fun.

Minecraft Bedrock v.26.50 is the worst.

The Japanese font was changed again, and now some characters aren’t displayed properly.
(Why is the Japanese font on Bedrock Edition so weird? The Japanese font on Java Edition is still Mojangles, so why does this always happen only with Japanese on Bedrock…)
