I definitely see your argument, but i dont feel like every game is hard. i would say most of the time my opponents are still significantly worse then me and i can win running solo squads most of the time if im going for the win. might just be because i havent gotten on when the good players are on or something but ive yet to face anyone outright better then me in a bedwars match yet. i suppose i am likely a little bias as i enjoy 1v4ing teams as its good for clip farming.
Thats the point. They often are. Winning a 1v4 is often, really fun. Now, I get that getting 1v4d is really bad experience, if it happens often. But I mean it was implamented, and idk I feel little diffrence. I still win most of my games, but really, it won't be good for cc either if they implament it. The thing is, "outright better" is tricky. The diffrence between a 2k and a 4k hour player, is, very little. I mean sure, one has way better stats, but really, even when I play against (or with) such players, they are obviusly better than me, but not outright, like I could beat them in duels 30%-40% of the time.
The thing is, skill based matchmaing isn't inheritly a bad idea, but how are you going to rate it? Number of wins is, stupid. I saw players with 2x my wincount and be worse than me. Winrate would make more sense, but for newer players, winrate changes really fast, and is still deciving, since if you play in a party, your winrate, is ussually higher.
Than you account for quee times, playercounts in diffrent lobbies, and suddenly you thined down an already small group of players. Well bedwars has a lot, but we arent talking about bw here alone.
You're attempt to call a high level player with a bunch of records bad is childish. It's painfully obvious you haven't played games OR this server long enough to understand how bad sbmm is for the gaming industry and CubeCraft
That might be a bit offensive, but yes, claiming to be better than basicly every player (even if not intended) is really not a good idea, since claming to never meet them, is, well nearly impossible if you played for any longer amount of time.
in my opinion if you are grinding leaderboard rankings you should probably already be good enough to win effectively every time, even if you are facing mildly above average player. even though i think most better players disagree with match making. i actually think skill based matchmaking as a whole is better for weaker players. i think to most players, getting insta rushed by a team of 4 who instantly murder you without giving you a chance to fight back is unfun. separating better and worser players would allow for worser players to have a better experience and improve their skills. ive seen parties of people who are comically good spawn camp a team of 4 newbie players and repeatedly kill them untill they leave the match.
Spawn camping is not allowed, if you see that, report it. Furthermore, there is diffrence between blocking them while one is punching out a bed and straight up spawn camping them. It might be better for weaker players, but I don't think most ppl would be happy to hear you calling them weaker. Also ppl often dont get insta rushed by four ppl, but only one. (ok this is a tiny nitpick, dont take this seriusly)
On a more serius note, one has to be challanged to improve. If you constantly fight those simialar to your skill level, than really, you will hardly improve, or more slowly. I do agree, there should be
some separation, but not something too large. Maybe something preventing matching ppl with over 50% winrate diffrence. (or similar number)
