The new maps are proving to be terrible for PvP.
First, I'd like to start by reminding everyone that the community can now create maps and suggest them for inclusion in CubeCraft. The announcement established some fairly accepted parameters to prevent bad maps, but the problem is that even CubeCraft map creators don't seem to follow them..
Here we can see a poorly lit map from the entrance; further inside there are very dark places that impede proper vision. If you're at the top of the map, PvP becomes very bad.
There are slabs at the entrance/exit of an island here, it doesn't make sense
This map, which is brand new today, I only played one game on and immediately knew no one would play it. It's very pretty, but it introduces too many camping spots. The map feels slow because there are so many blocks that impede movement, and many blocks obstruct PvP. It will be another map that will only be played when someone without a rank/sub rank is looking for a match and a server with that map is activated, and I'm sure many will abandon it.
Finally, this other one, also from today, I don't know what kind of point it makes, I don't know what kind of joke this is, but how could the creator think of putting a layer of water on a PvP map? If someone goes and jumps in there like I do in the video, they can easily camp and waste everyone else's time. Even if you knock someone down, they might be saved by this layer of water. The map itself seems good to me, but that pointless layer of water completely ruins it. It's a Bedwars map, a PvP map, not a Skyblock or Minerware map.
Finally, I have to say that the new Blockwars map is a 10/10, it's really good. Also, something to consider for the future: as more maps are added, they could see which ones are the least played and replace them with other, more fun ones. Currently, in Eggwars Duos, I only have about 6-8 favorite maps, and in Squads, I only have about 5. I won't even mention the solo maps since most of them are very good, but for the rest—duos and squads—they need to change maps and listen to the feedback. Everyone is asking for the permanent Birthday map to be added back, but for some reason, they haven't. I remember they made another map for birthdays that was also good, and it hasn't reappeared for years. Sometimes, improved decorations on maps don't make a map good.
I'd like to know what you think, having read this. I hope next week's maps are good.

- Any caves or interiors should be well lit, change your brightness to 30/40% to check. Not everyone has the same brightness as you and has it on bright 100%.
- Do not go overboard with decoration, to the point where you can barely move, for example no use of sugar canes, double grass, double ferns, heads and anything that will get in the way of PvP.
- Avoid tall structures, as this will discourage camping. Starter islands must not have tall structures at all.
- Avoid using grass, snow layers or slabs as an island base. Players cannot destroy this, and it makes it awkward to run and to place blocks.
