So we are building an FFA map and I posted it but it definately needed an upgrade and I want to know if things are going in the right way! It is only part of the map and I think it will be good when fully finished.

The bridge looks much better but it's lacking the most on the cliff faces and caves.
For example at about 0:24 that face looks completely unnatural and rugged. It's better than the flat sides but still needs work. Other ones are a concern too but try learning how to use voxel sniper (plugin) for terraforming as it helps a ton. Maybe use a variety of blocks, such as the other types of stone in the mountain faces to give them more life as well and possibly add some cool overhang features as they add tremendously.

The next one is the caves. I have a simple rule in building and that is to never spam glowstone. Sea lanterns always look better and if you use them creatively, they can fit in nicely. For example, if you use cobble walls to 'hold them up', it fits in much better. I'd also advise adding more block variety to the caves as well.

At about 1:50 you can see an example of a hillside that stands out awfully, and at the top of it , I think it is too rough for PvP.

I'm glad you have taken the time to improve the bridge so I think the watch tower and other builds could use the same treatment. I'd also recommend never using plain glass as it is just as ugly as glowstone is. Maybe have a go at custom trees too? I'm not sure but good luck in the future!

it looks good but there is not a lot of cover. it is for the most part flat and snow. also i think you can work a little bit harder on the little things.
is this the first map you made because for a first map it looks really good

Working on it now, thank you!

Definitely an improvement. Also I want to congratulate you for being so open to feedback and actually consider it valuable for improvement. I expect to see more updates to the map!

Ok so we have been working on the map and listened to some stuff you had to say! Here is a video and screenshots to show:

We improved the archer towers/added a few things here and there while trying not to clutter the area and I think it looks pretty good now.
Made a few better bigger trees as the normal bigger trees are a little plain and smoothed out some of the terrain on the edges of some hills so it looks better!
Another thing is in the cave Andyyy said about the glowstone not looking that good and we agreed so we put sea lanterns like he said and I think it fits quite good with the way it looks now.
