Winter Event 2024 Theories

We just got some more information about the Winter Event for this year. You can view it here on the Public Update Board. The update will include the winter hub, the return of Snowman Survival, and a ton of maps for Java and Bedrock. Along with this we got one sneak peek:

This image has the caption "It seems you might need to help someone soon…". Here are my theories on what this could be, and how likely I think they are:

• [Fairly Likely] You have to help Santa or another Winter-themed character in multiple tasks to get rewarded. Possibly the goal is to escape the snow globe (hence the spherical glass wall surrounding the area).
• [Fairly Likely] You have to help somebody clean up / repair the snow globe (because of the cobwebs)
• [Possible] This is just a map preview.
• [Unlikely] A new LTM gamemode.

There's a good chance that none of these theories are even close to what it actually is - these are just my ideas. Either way, I'm very happy that CubeCraft is once again doing multiple lobby quests for this event. What do you think it is?

The cobwebs are used as falling snow, purely as a decoration; You see this a lot in builds, so #2 is definitely not it.

My guess would be that this may be this is a map preview, potentially for FFA (or Duels?), or it is some kind of sub realm that players can get teleported to for a seasonal quest.

The description likely hints at a similar experience that we had during the Halloween event. That’s all my speculations though.

Option 1 is not very likely but possible, Option 2 is just snow like @Hoshi said, Option 3 is obviously just a map preview of it, I think I remember it but it’s just remodeled or something, Option 4 is a very likely, LTM winter game mode like last year
