A supermoon will increase up to 14% in size, and is 30% brighter. *smacks with logic*

It's not too too rare, happens every 14th full moon, so almost once a year.
Btw, that picture you posted makes it look HUGE, when in reality its only slightly larger;

(difference between normal and supermoon)

I majored in Astronomy and Physics so I'm big in this kind-of stuff :rolleyes:

It's actually really bright and yellow tonight if the sky is clear for you

However, the next super moon will be next month.

Where I live the moon was a super bright orange.
