All Networks Suggestion: split eggwars into speedrun and no speedrun mode

There are so many people trying to speedrun cubecraft, which is fine but it is annoying for people who enjoy longer games. playing against speedrunners can be really annoying since even if they don't take you out in the first 2 minutes, it will just be a 1v1 scenario which in my and some others opinion is not that enjoyable.

this is why I suggest a grace period for ~3 minutes in which the egg can not be broken but pvp is allowed in this time. then a speedrun mode can be made in which is basically the current version without a grace period. In my experience matches can be found quick enough so that splitting the eggwars playerbase in 2 won't drastically impact wait times.

I think this is better for both sides since people who enjoy longer games can play without speedrunners since they will be turned off by having to wait before grace period is over and the speedrunners can play the speedrun mode.

I don't think everyone will like to play this gamemode, and queues will be so long

Every person would hate this idea. People like fighting, plus being on your own island gives you enough time against most people. If you see a sweat that you don't think you can fight then just hub before the match starts.

And for Speedrunning it ain't any problem, the CubeCraft Speedrunning on speedrun com is not directly managed by CubeCraft Staff, it's managed by ordinary players like myself. Yet the Speedrunning community for CubeCraft is not that big, roughly few hundred players at most.

Most of what you might be running into are just people who are grinding, not Speedrunning.

I don’t like this idea, bcs making a whole new mode for speed running is a bad idea, especially bcs, like @TC XD said, CCG’s speedrun.com page is not run by ccg staff, but rather regular players. Also, we don’t need a new mode for speed running bcs splitting one of the most popular games in two is a bad idea even if it doesn’t impact wait times, bcs they would still take a while. So I don’t think this is a good suggestion

As, @TC XD has mentioned, the speedrun.com community is small and most eggwars records are hard to get and well contested anyways. Most of the people you call 'speedrunners' are probably people grinding. Eggwars doesn't need a new gamemode and if they do (they will probably make it a subscription, cough cough, what was I saying?) the people that enjoy longer games will suffer long queue times and it will become pointless and there fore discontinued.
