I propose adding the following keyboard shortcuts when creating new threads:
CTRL+L = Left alignment
CTRL+E = Central alignment
CTRL+R = Right alignment
These are the alignment shortcuts available in Microsoft Word. I am not sure whether these are doable or not, however as the CTRL+S shortcut has been added for strike-through, I thought I'd propose it c:
(Especially as CTRL+R typically reloads the page, which can be dangerous if your draft hasn't saved!)
Edit: I would also like to propose these shortcuts, for increasing and decreasing text size respectively:
CTRL + >
CTRL + <
