I really like the new skyblock update, especially I like the new dungeon activity. Even though I think it's a little bit too hard (not sure what kind of balancing they were going for though), I really enjoy running them and getting loot. so far I have only ran the snow dungeon(and failed), the cobble stone dungeon(lvl 1, 2) and the pumpking dungeon (lvl 1) so correct me if there is something I've missed, perhaps from the dungeons I didn't run yet
I think they can be improved a little bit to feel a bit less repetitive, more engaging, and more rewarding.
1. multiplayer - currently you can run a dungeon in 2 modes: solo and with profile members. I have a solo profile which I play a lot and I would like to play with other players even if they are random players that I met at the hub and befriended them. I also assume that in coop profiles the players aren't always online, and players won't want to always run dungeons alone. because skyblock is on the cubecraft network I think it should have a more multiplayer aspect. I suggest to create a party system to invite other players and run a dungeon together, just like the normal cubecraft party system with a dedicated chat and everything
2. more types of containers - currently you can only loot chests inside the dungeons, I would suggest to add more variety to them. the new minecraft clay pots can be great for a kind of item loot, they can be scattered throughout the dungeon and can give you a mystery item from a trashy one to an a bit above average item, usually they will have a high amount of the same item(e.g. 14 cobblestone). barrels can also be used for loot, probably similar to chests. Also, while it's not a container rare mob loot drops can be cool, sometimes I skip the mobs just to get to the chests
3. show how many containers left - it would be cool to see how many containers you missed when you looted the dungeon. It can be either shown in real time or at the end of the dungeon after you left it. after I ran the cobblestone dungeon a few times I still keep finding new loot spots that I didn't know about them before, it would be cool to see how many I missed and perhaps try to find them in real time
4. dungeon leaderboards - after like 10 runs dungeons can start to feel a bit repetitive. I also noticed that after each dungeon run the game tells you how much time it took you and whether you broke your record or not. now my question is, why not share that data? I suggest to add leaderboards to each dungeon and each level of the dungeon to see the top 10 fastest dungeon runners(fastest objective completion time) as well as your own place. also as a continuation to suggestion 3, I suggest to add a separate leaderboards for dungeon completion time for players that managed to loot everything at the dungeon as well. the leaderboards feature will enhance the multiplayer aspect of skyblock and create an optional competition for players
I also think that some props in the dungeons can be randomized a little bit to make each run feel more unique but that's a small detail.
let me know what you think about my suggestion :)
