Seriously, with the amount of latency abusers or plan out hacked clients using reach, this is a problem. Shields are a staple for pvp to counter this.

No shields would be horrible the bedrock shield is so Scuffed its actually stupid OP, it deals like 8 blocks of kb backwards.
Like SecretEagle said, sheilds are stupidly op in bedrock and would ruin pvp.

shields do not belong in classic combat period. They should never be given functionality in bedrock.
Sheilds do not fit in with 1.7 pvp and even if they would be added nons would just sit there with it and do nothing until it breaks
