If this getting added, I already see people just camping on their island. Whenever a player wants to cross their bridge, they just spam their rods to knock you off. It would be annoying. So a no for me.

People camp bridges anyway, its called chokepointing.
also rods are slow and have limited range so it shouldnt be such a problem
bows are much easier to spam and people can still tunnel bridge

Still it's annoying. From close range it feels so bad. Because you almost cross their bridge and just get punched off. It's even more annoying if you have still an egg. The camper can rod you off all the time.
