?

Should there be rewards for getting hackers banned after you report them?

Here's my idea. I'll make it quick and simple and try not to go too in depth (I probably will because I like explaining)

    Concept:
Rewarding players that reported someone (If it's accepted, of course!)

    Goal:

To encourage all players (Including newcomers) to report hackers found in games

    My idea for rewards:
We could give the player some amount of points (50-200) , Cubelets or experience,

For staff: Getting doubly the experience, But no points or cubelets. (Must be in form of report and not in mod chat specifically)

Possibly having "top reporter of the week/month" having a rank giveaway/upgrade of some sort

This idea is mainly to encourage more and more players to report more often so we can effectively get players to WANT to report players.
It only counts if the reports are accepted though!
The only downside I can see is many "fake reports" wasting some space, But I think it's worth it if it's in the name of getting more and more hackers banned daily.

    That's my idea!

Am I cool @Lezappen ? Are you proud of my genius suggestion?

I'm sorry to say, but I don't like the idea of getting rewards from reducing the amount of cubecraft crime. You shouldn't need to get rewards for helping out the servers crime. We all report players as we don't like the people who break the rules, we don't report them for "rewards". Its a -1 for me.

I see where you are coming from, But the goal is to encourage players to start reporting more frequently.

I don't support this. How do you even want to connect the forums to the server? Probably the rewards should be given by the owners because it won't be able to give the rewards automaticly and that would be way to much work. Oh and could you maybe add a no to the poll? :p

Players shouldn't need to be bribed to do a nice thing. Players should report player breaking the rule, to reduce them on the server, so they don't come across them.

Hmmm, I think experience would be the best reward for reporting players.
I don't think that the rank-giveaway / upgrade would work. If it would be added, staff would have to keep track of who posts which amount of posts every month...
So I don't know about this suggestion. :p

Hey, this has been suggested a lot before and is in my opinion a good suggestion. It was taken in consideration by higher staff before, but they decided not to do this as it would increase insufficient reports from people who just wanted the rewards.

I like your idea, but I'm afraid it won't happen.
