If you kill someone in blockwars, and they had something like full diamond armor and you had leather armor, you deserve the diamond armor because you killed someone that had more op stuff than you, and you still killed them. It would in general make killing people feel more rewarding. To prevent lag, dropped items on death could despawn in 2 minutes or something like that.
