It would be nice if you could message someone that is in the server, but isn't in the same lobby/game. (I am talking about /msg)

I would say it's just a good feature to have.
I mean, you've got /fmsg so I don't really see an useful thing in this. Yes, they need to be your friends but why would you need to /msg someone who's not in your lobby while you two aren't friends?

You can always send them a party invite or a friend request to message them. If they accept or not is up to them.
It would be more annoying to get messages from random people.
It is annoying when you cant reply to a message. But there will be a lot of spam if this gets implemented. Maybe they should make an option to allow /msg messages that are sent to you.
How is this related to the suggestion? Also, this wouldn't work because it's different game mechanics.
I see no harm in this as long as it comes with the option to be able to deny all incoming /msg messages.
