In Battle Arena Duels (1v1 / 2v2), ranked players can select kits, while unranked players are forced into random ones. After testing this myself with Battle Arena rank, I noticed a huge shift in win rate and consistency, especially after practicing a single kit like Crystals. The difference is clear — this feature gives ranked players a significant and consistent advantage.

🧩 Why This Is a Problem:

  • Duels become less about player skill and more about kit familiarity through paid access.
  • Unranked players are constantly forced to adapt to random kits, while ranked players can master one.
  • This creates a systemic disadvantage for free-to-play players.
  • It discourages new players and damages long-term game balance and trust.

🎯 Suggestions:

  1. Remove kit selection from Duels entirely, or...
  2. Make kit selection unlockable via in-game achievements (e.g. playtime, win streaks, or progression milestones) — not through payment.

This way, everyone can earn access to fair advantages and Duels remain competitive and skill-based, not monetized.

❗My Perspective:

I own six ranks across CubeCraft, and I believed most of them were pay-to-win. But after careful testing, only Battle Arena’s kit selection truly gives a major edge. For example, after 3 days of practicing Crystals with kit selection enabled, I was winning 1v2s consistently. That wouldn't be possible relying on random kits. No other rank gave me such an advantage.

💬 Replies to Common Arguments:

“Then what’s the point of the Battle Arena rank?”
Cosmetics and map selection. These already add value without affecting competitive fairness.

“Isn’t this like other vote-based perks in EggWars or SkyWars?”
Not quite. Voting changes global conditions for all players. Kit selection lets you choose a personalized advantage every match, and the difference between kits like Crystals and Archer is huge.

Hello, I don't agree with this suggestion as both players are still placed in the same game with the same tools to their disposal.

Yes, one person choose the kit probably because they're better at using that, but the same argument could be used for all in game voting (i.e eggwars health etc). The only difference between both persons in the game is the level of skill to use that kit, which is something you're able to practice over time. Rank or no rank.

In Battle Arena Duels (1v1/2v2), ranked players currently have the ability to select kits, which gives them a significant and consistent advantage over unranked players who are forced into random kits.

This creates an unfair PvP environment where players who pay for a rank can master a specific kit, while others are constantly adapting — making what should be a skill-based mode feel pay-to-win.

🧩 Why This Is a Problem:

  • Competitive modes should be based on player skill, not kit familiarity through paid perks.
  • Many players lose motivation to play Duels knowing they are at a systemic disadvantage.
  • It hurts long-term game balance and player trust, especially for new or F2P players.

🎯 Suggested Fixes:

  • Remove kit selecting from Duels entirely, or…
  • Make it unlockable via playtime, win streaks, or in-game achievements — giving all players a path to earn the option.

This would help maintain fairness, encourage more participation, and keep Duels truly competitive.

Thanks for considering this!
Personally, I have to 100% agree with your suggestion. The ability to select the kit you play as is comparable to being able to choose a gamemode. The type of kit that you select drastically impacts gameplay, it has a direct effect on how long a match can take, which has a direct effect on a user's ability to farm wins / other stats.

Additionally, when a user is allowed to consistently utilize a single kit, they have the advantage of increased profficiency in a specific combat situation. Thus, ranked players can become experts in a limited amount of combat situations whereas unranked players are burdened with the expectation of being good under any random set of circumstances.

In-game voting might be comparable to a degree, but not entirely. First, in-game voting impacts a much larger amount of players, so non-ranked users have a much higher chance of encountering games that have been modified and develop skill in it. Second, in-game voting does not have the ability to entirely change the way a game plays out (Well... except for Pillars of Fortune, but that game is very chaos-driven as is), choosing a different kit does change the game dynamic entirely, you can't say a Crystals 1v1 is similar to an Archer 1v1.

What would be the point of buying battle arena rank then

Crystals and archer aren’t THAT different. You just left click and right click until the bad guy pops. Come to think of it, all the kits are basically the same, just defeat your opponent. Pretty simple and consistent across the board /s

This removes the use for half the battle arena rank…

As an owner of the battle arena rank I completely disagree. The whole point of getting a rank isn't the cosmetics, it's, in the games like eggwars and skywars voting for modifiers, and in battle arena to choose kits. They're also never going to do this because then less people will want to purchase the rank and so less money in their pockets. Also when you are replying to replies to your thread please use multi quote because it really clogs up the thread otherwise.

I'm owner of 6 ranks and I tested it to prove and only specifically kit seletion gave me massive advantage, I thought that all ranks are p2w but the once for skywars for example doesn't gives that big advantage also I handled 1v2 3-4 times in a row after first 3 days having the ranks, I think after 4 years playing I never got out nowhere such domination

So is enough to be "better" at using kit selecting you want, no need to pay $9.99 or 1690? Also I did it after tried myself and honesly only specifically Battle Arena's rank feature kit selecting gave me big advantage compared then before for example after practicing 3 days crystals I handled 1v2 3-4 times in a raw before I found out that I suppose to do trash spacing for crazy reach with bad stable ping. So I did after tried everything by myself and now proved that only one rank is p2w I honestly before thought that all of them are too OP but I was wrong.
