  • We're running an internal migration of all old players' stats to our new highly advanced statistics tracking backend. This means that stat changes will be a bit delayed while we ingest this huge backlog of data. Nothing is being lost, it'll just take a bit longer to show up in the in-game UIs.

Hello everyone, I come with an idea.

In a few days Minecraft Legacy Edition will be celebrating its release. And I think it would be a good idea to implement the legacy minigames onto Cubecraft.

For those who are unaware, legacy edition had 3 minigames built into it. They were battle, tumble and glide. Battle was similar to the survival mode that currently exists, tumble is spleff, so breaking blocks under people until winning, glide is using the elytra to go through rings and collect pointss, and seeing how many points you could get before the end of the race.

I genuinely think these will be a fun edition to add to the server.

I get where you’re coming from, and the legacy minigames were definitely fun back in the day. I have good memories of playing things like battle and glide as well.

That said, I’m not sure they’d work as well on Cubecraft today. A lot of those modes are quite simple compared to what players expect now, and part of what made them special was the nostalgia and the time they were released in.

I think it might be better for the server to focus on creating new, original minigames or modern versions of those ideas rather than bringing them back exactly as they were. That way you still capture the fun, but in a way that feels fresh and fits current gameplay standards.

That's fair, but honestly I find the simplicity back then nice (also I found glide way too difficult, respect to you). The main reason why I'm drawn away from modern adaptations of things such as hunger games with all those custom items.

But I do see you point about making a more modern version, how would it go though? Just adding the modern items and more stylized versions of the maps?

Ajax.
Not the news I want to hear about CubeCraft. Looks like I will lose access to custom skins thanks to a bug introduced in Minecraft 26.0.
