Kit PvP bug?

Ok so I´ve noticed something on KitPvP. When you have a killstreak of for example 10 and leave by either disconnecting or typing /lobby your kills dont count. Do you have to get killed by something/someone to make your kills count?

Because my kills and deaths haven´t changed for sooooo long and I don´t really understand why. Please could somebody explain this to me...

I believe you have to die first, so the killstreak is broken & the new killstreak can be recorded in the system.

No I don't want the killstreak to remain after leaving.
