Island invitation

I would like to play with a friend who decided to start the game on the server today. My question is, can I add it somehow to my "solo" profile? Or can I somehow transfer the contents of the solo profile to the cooperative profile so as not to lose progress?

You can't transfer your progress nor add anyone on a solo island, as far as I'm aware.
