Alchemist's poison pot lasts more than 20 seconds,which means that your target when poisoned will survive with 0,5 hearts, if not cleanupped by anything. Alchemist is already a pretty strong kit, and giving it a poison pot strong as the witch one is insane. Nerf the duration of poison effect, the current one is pretty insane

If they manage to hit you with it perfectly.
From my experience it's not that much of a problem

I don’t have this issue though. I just strafe those players or I just die and don’t care. But I can see how this would be very annoying.

Though that is true as mentioned earlier you have to hit them perfectly
Firstly it can't be thrown upward as that decreases it
Sconely you have to hit right below them or it won't be that hard
This is how Minecraft potions work and honestly I think it is decently balanced for that reason
