Maybe he's jumping while throwing the enderperal? If you jump and throw the enderperal, it's going to be aimed down instead of the normal up. Again, practice out throwing the enderperal. When you feel like your confident, go try it out again without jumping. (I don't know if this also relates to the 1.8 version of Eggwars though)
