Elimination. New game mode suggestion.

    Its me again (you cant escape me...) This time not with a map, but with a new game mode suggestion. Before I'm gonna talk about it, I'd like to say that I like the pokemon idea. And I can guarantee ya, it will make the server more and more popular. :)

    However, lez go back to the new gamemode. The game is called Elimination. Elimination is a pvp based game for 20 players with kits. I think many of you guys have played CoD once and I guess you guys do all know the gamemode Search & Destroy. Well this game does look like a mix between this gamemode and the Walls. I know that there already have been some threads about adding the Walls, but I think this game will be more special.

    When the players do join a game, they will spawn in the lobby. In the lobby, they are able to choose a class (more information below) and choose a team if they want to. When the game is full, the game will start. The 20 players will be split up in 2 teams from 10 players. You have team red and team blue. The players do have 1 minute to prepare themselves. After that minute, the walls will fall down, and the players are able to get to the enemy or just stay at their base. Thats your own choice. You can stick up with your team but you can also choose to be a 'lone wolf'. However, the Walls fall down and you can go to the enemies. But be careful! Everybody does have one life. If you get killed, its game over for ya. And I think that you did already guess that the goal of the game is to eliminate the other team.

    Some information about the kits.

    Of course there are some kits at this gamemode. I think it will be more fun with kits. ;) But there's a difference. You can upgrade your kit to become stronger and stronger. You can use your points for it.

    But can I also get points in the game? Yes you can.
    For each kill, you'll receive 5 points.
    For each win, you'll receive 10 points.
    That aint much, but I dont think the games will take that long, so you can easily play some games.

    The kits.

    The kits are all animals. Each kit does have 4 items to upgrade. You have:
    Fighting ability. F.A.
    Special ability. S.A
    Starter kit. S.K.
    Regeneration and Health. R.H.

    You can upgrade your kit untill you have it max. From lvl. 1-2 costs 100 points. 2-3 200, 3-4 500 and 4-5 1000 points.
    You get the F.A. when your enchanting bar is at 100%. You can get this bar to 100% by hitting enemies. Every time you hit an enemy, you receive 5%, so that you have to hit enemies 20 times to receive your F.A. You can get the S.A. each 10 seconds. Notice that you can upgrade this!

    The kits at lvl. 1 are:
    The kits with their upgrades are given below.

    Starter kits:

    Chicken (does receive an arrow every 5 seconds, with a max of 5 arrows.)
    F.A. - Explosive arrow. (2 hearts damage.)
    S.A. - Feather Falling. (0-10 blocks no damage when falling.)
    S.K. - Iron armour and Feather Falling on the boots, Iron sword, Bow Power I.
    R.H. - 1 potion of regeneration.

    Sheep
    F.A. - Circle of peace. (1,5 damage.)
    S.A. - Regeneration. (regenerate all your teammates whithin a circle of 2 blocks with 1 heart. You also heal yourself with 1 heart.)
    S.K.- Iron armour and Protection 1 on the chestplate, Iron sword.
    R.H. - 1 potion of regeneration.

    Pig
    F.A. - Burning soul. (2 damage.)
    S.A. - Tank. (in fight you take 0,5 hearts less damage each 5 times you get hit. So when you got hit 5 times, you'd normally lose 2,5 hearts but then you lose 2 hearts.)
    S.K. - Iron armour, Iron sword (unbreaking)
    R.H. - 1 potion of regeneration.

    Kits you have to buy with points.

    Bat
    F.A. - Vampire bite. (3 damage.)
    S.A. - Blood thief. (when you kill someone, you get 1 heart back, less OP than vampire at sg.)
    S.K. - Iron armour, Iron sword.
    R.H. - 1 potion of regeneration.

    Horse
    F.A. - Horse kick. (3 damage.)
    S.A. - Super jump. (you can jump 2 blocks high instead of 1 block when you press the right mouseclick.)
    S.K. - Iron armour, Iron sword.
    R.H. - 1 potion of regeneration.

    Wolf
    F.A. - Bite of death. (3 damage.)
    S.A. - Quick attack. (you have speed 1 for 1 second when you press the right mouseclick.)
    S.K. - Iron armour, Iron sword.
    R.H. - 1 potion of regeneration.

    Ocelot
    F.A. - Scratch. (3 damage.)
    S.A. - Camouflage. (you're invisible for 0,5 second when you press the right mouseclick.)
    S.K. - Iron armour, Iron sword.
    R.H. - 1 potion of regeneration.

    These are just some kits which I just made.

    And here are the upgrades.

    I.A. = iron armour. I.s/d = sword. Pt = protection ...
    Potions are drinkable, there are also some splash but its easy to see which potion is drinkable and which is splash.

    Chicken
    F.A. - 2 damage - 2,5 damage - 3 damage - 3,5 damage - 4 damage.
    S.A. - 10 blocks - 11 blocks - 12 blocks - 13 blocks - 15 blocks.
    S.K. - I.A. I sw. bow pwr I - I.A. I sw. bow pwr I - I.A. I sw. bow pwr II - I.A. I sw. bow pwr II - I.A. diamond boots I sw. bow pwr III.
    R.H. - 1 pot - 1 pot - 1 pot - 1 pot - 2 pots.

    Sheep
    F.A. - 1,5 damage - 2 damage - 2 damage - 2,5 damage - 3 damage.
    S.A. - reg. team and yourself for 1 heart, 2 blocks distance - reg. team and yourself for 1 heart, 2,5 blocks distance - reg. team and yourself for 1,5 heart, 3 blocks distance - reg. team and yourself for 2 hearts, 3,5 blocks distance - reg. team and yourself for 2,5 hearts, 4 blocks distance.

    Maps

    Of course there will also be some maps. I was thinking of a map like 80 at 80 blocks or anything like that. Maybe the builders can build a nice map. However the map has to look like a square which will be split up in 2 equal sides.
    And then the walls between it just disappear.

    Anyways, I think this will be enough explanation for now. Cuz the thread is pretty long...:p

    I love the idea of 1 life elimination, as this adds a tense feeling when playing. This has nearly ALL the aspects of walls but with a twist, therefore, i love this idea.
    I'll forward this to an Head Admin to review and I'll get back to you in the mean time, till then, thread locked.

    I like the idea, I also like how much effort and detail you have put into your suggestion. There's currently quite a lot being developed (as far as I am aware), so it may not be the most important thing, but still, it's cool. I'll suggest it as a gamemode and get some feedback, but there are no promises that it'll be made. :)

    I like the ideas themselves, though the game seems a lot like a mixture of Walls and Mega Walls from another server (not going to mention the server name), a mixture of it and the time a bit shorter.

    I like that you put alot of time and ideas in your game ideas/suggestions :p

    About the Kits:
    Nice ideas, the abilities could be a more relatable to the kit, I've got some other Ideas:

    Starter kits:

    Chicken
    F.A. - Explosive Eggs. (Shoots out eggs which explode on impact. 1 Egg deals 0.5 heart of damage if direct hit.)
    P.A. - Feather Falling. (0-10 blocks no damage when falling.)
    S.K. - Iron armour and Feather Falling on the boots, Iron sword, Bow Power I.
    R.H. - 1 potion of regeneration.

    Sheep
    F.A. - Circle of peace. (A circle with a given radius surrounded by particles which are easily seen, stays for [x] seconds, people in it get [x] hearts of damage per second.)
    P.A. - Wool Cloak. (Change the colour of wool to look just like the environment... Invisibility for [x] seconds.)
    S.K.- Iron armour and Protection 1 on the chestplate, Iron sword.
    R.H. - 1 potion of regeneration.

    Pig
    F.A. - Deadly Oink(?). (Plays EnderDragon roar sound and deals [x] damage in [x] blocks infront of you)
    P.A. - Zombie Pigman. (If your Health gets below [x] you get [x])
    S.K. - Iron armour, Iron sword (unbreaking)
    R.H. - 1 potion of regeneration.

    This might look a bit like mega walls but the whole idea is to let it be a mix beween S & D and the walls. Just to create a intense game, cuz I think the sever still needs such a game. :)
    About the kits which you've made.
    I'll add the new kits soon, and I'll also add some of your ideas. Not all of them cuz the kits have to stay balanced, but I'll try my best to add most of it. :)

    I haven't made any kits, I just copied your post and changed some stuff, to make the skills more unique. The abilities should be balanced, since everyone of them does about the same amount of damage to a normal player, who indeed is able to move out of the way

    Maybe an Silverfish kit that looks like this:

    F.A.: Scream (Right click with sword to activate, 1 or 2 hearts of damage)
    S.A.: Random Teleportation (Teleports you to a random location on the map, like totally random)
    S.K.: Wither Skeleton Skull, Leather chesplate painted black, Iron leggings and boots (Boots with feather falling 2) Diamond sword and 3 ender pearls.
    R.H. Splash Potion of Regeneration for 45 seconds

    Hope you like it, it was just a quick idea to add

    Doesn't really fit, if you think about it: Teleport would be more likely an ability for Endermen.
    And how could a thing so little Scream this loud?
