you'd have no time to get anything for a fight just a pickaxe, blocks, and armour before the game is already over

Just duel instead. Although that would be really cool to just have a friend vs friend, if they come close to adding this they should add it for 1v1v1, 1v1v1v1, all the way up to like a 5 player game?
