Egg Wars Question

I have been wondering something about the Egg Wars "Points" system. I know you get experience every time you play, but do you get points every time you play, or only when you win? Or is it like Mineplex and you have to wait until the end of the game?

You only get points when you win, which I think is actually stupid. I think every player involved in the game should get a miniscule amount of points because I'm telling yuh right now you either win games, or you don't. There's no inbetween. Players either lose 90% of the time, or win 90% of the time. This makes the losers literally gain nothing, which makes me a little upset for them.
