Currently the perks of the "battle arena" rank is that you can pick all kits. (Yes I am ignoring FFA)
Compared to say skywars rank where you can pick the mode and the map which is cool because some maps are better for different players and different kits
This is the same in duels, some maps are better for certain kits so the menu for picking maps should ONLY come up for people who already have the rank because looking at another option would take too long.
