Didnt get the void wand

I finally beat the final boss to get the void wand. But due to the fact you cant drop items in this game mode I couldn't pick it up. I was then teleported back to the hub. Went back in cleared my inventory out and restarted my game, still didn't receive the void wand, I also tried doing it again but all i get is XP.
