So a couple of weeks ago I made a post on the forum titled "Cubecraft, please stop being greedy" which you can access here, and today when I logged on after studying I was met with many different anomalies with the server. I just want to discuss all these things that have happened today, kind of as a continuation of my last post.
For one, I started playing Bedwars with my friend and the server completely just froze. Not my game, but the server was completely unresponsive. I could buy anything I wanted to without the resources, and even break blocks freely on the built-in map. When the server unfreezed, the chat was full of messages, and I had taken 5 hearts of phantom damage. The game after, I was chatting with my friend, and the server randomly disconnected me with the same "disconnected from host" error message it reuses in every situation. Somebody pinged me on the discord server and I saw that it was as chaotic there was well, with people ranting about how the Asia server was down again and how they randomly got disconnected. I went back on Minecraft and the player count decreased by almost 200 players at once, with more disconnections being rolled out after that affecting almost every person online. When I joined I noticed, as an Asian player, that I was in an EU server no matter what lobby I queued to. I tried to queue manually to the Asian lobbies (not games) using the lobby item and my ping exceeded 400, when it usually sits at a comfortable 90 mms.
The thing is, over the past week, Cubecraft has fortunately taken care of all the outstanding issues that popped up at once, only having a very select few minor bugs, even fixing the Asia server problem and really lowering the amount of hackers, at least that I saw. Now I can't even log on without having my ping exceed 1000, JUST IN A LOBBY.
I am a Bedrock player, but as I've heard on Java the problems get even worse.
If you really want more info about this problem then go check out my previous thread and its comments, but this server has come so far in November that now, if Cubecraft doesn't find a way to fix these dumb issues, they might as well just go bankrupt as a new year's "gift", since the staff barely seem to care that their 13 year old featured server is randomly disconnecting hundreds of people and altering gameplay completely randomly as well.
Thank you to the nicest admin, Thijs, for dealing with my complaints in my thread, as that actually seemed to have made a difference in the server leading up to today.
Anyways, I do very much respect the Cubecraft team (even if it sometimes may not seem so) but they really need to live up to it.
Peace out
