Hello CubeCraft Team and Community,
My IGN is Dafflovesosa, and I am writing this to strongly urge the development team to remove the hidden Skill-Based Matchmaking (SBMM) and strict device separation specifically from the Casual mode of 1v1 and 2v2 Duels, its so bad especially for the Asia region.
While I completely understand the implementation of SBMM in the new Competitive/Ranked mode, but forcing this strict matchmaking filter into the Casual PVP duelmode has created a terrible experience for several reasons:
1. Dead Queues / Infinite Loading in Asia:
The playerbase in the Asia region is not as massive as EU or NA. When the system forces a strict filter (Matching Skill Bracket + Same Input Device + Region Lock), the player pool becomes virtually non-existent. I am constantly stuck in the lobby for ages just waiting for a single casual match. Casual is supposed to be "first-come, first-served" and fast.
2. Wasted Battle Pass (Financial Disadvantage):
I am a paying customer who bought the Battle Pass on my account to enjoy grinding rewards. However, because of this hidden SBMM, I spend 80% of my time staring at the matchmaking screen instead of actually playing. The duration of the Battle Pass is ticking away daily, and I am losing the chance to complete my daily/weekly missions because I simply cannot find games. This feels highly unfair to players who financially support the server.
3. Lag and Delay Hit Registration:
PvP on cubecraft Bedrock already suffers from high ping, delayed hits, and inconsistent knockback. Forcing players into sweaty, high-intensity matchups via SBMM on top of unstable server performance makes the gameplay extremely frustrating rather than fun.
4. My Prediction: A Complete Game Mode Death Spiral:
If CubeCraft decides to keep this hidden SBMM in Casual mode, it will inevitably kill the 1v1 and 2v2 Duel community. First, casual players will quit because they are tired of sweaty matches. This will shrink the player pool even further, making queue times even worse. Eventually, even the pro players and grinders will abandon the mode out of pure boredom from waiting in empty lobbies. We are already seeing the early stages of this death spiral in the Asia region.
If players want to play competitively against people with the exact same skill and device, they will queue for the Competitive Mode. Casual mode should be reverted to the old system: purely random, fast, and accessible to everyone regardless of their device or skill level.
Please save the Asia Duel community before the player pool completely dies out due to these infinite queue times.
Thank you for listening to our feedback.
Best regards,
Dafflovesosa
