Can I appeal a discord ban?

I was on the cc discord, as I've been frequently recently. I DID swear, the F one, as a slip forgetting where I was. The only staff member I saw present there seemed to let it slide as it's very much NOT a frequent thing for me, but a minute or so down the line I was just banned. For context, it wasn't used in a harmful or attacking way nor was it another in a habitual rule violation, so I feel like it was excessive to just ban. Can I appeal this?

If you want to be unbanned from the discord, you have to contact the moderator that banned you. They will tell you to make an appeal in DM's / private messages.
