Bedrock Skyblock can’t make double chests or place chests next to another

hi everyone, when i try to make a double chest or place a new chest right next to another sometimes the items that were already placed in it disappear, i don’t know what triggers this. i’m on xbox.
it’s the first time this happens to me in the few months i’ve been playing skyblock, any help will be appreciated :)

If it's a bug/issue, then you should make a report here instead of making a forum post.
