Bedrock Skyblock Blue Problem

I'm fairly new to this so forgive me if I sound like a noob but how am I supposed to dye a piece of leather armour for the "Paint yourself blue" quest on the cold taiga island, don't you need a cauldron to dye a piece of leather armour?

For that quest, you can put each piece of leather armour (one at a time) into a crafting table along with blue dye, which is crafted from lapis lazuli.

There's also a quest at the end of the cold taiga island that will require a carved pumpkin, you can buy this from the skyblock shop so that it won't require shears :)
