Omg. You will not believe how bad at crafting I am. I could’t even craft a crafting table! I had to watch a video on how to do it. I am so embarrassed with myself. I have been playing minecraft for 5 years.

Fortunately, I'm also pretty bad at crafting, but I have found a solution that might help you.
I have one sheet of paper near my desk, where I have written the essential crafting recipes, plus the ones that I might want to know at some point.
I recommend you to go to minecraft wiki, then screenshot them and write them somewhere, so you won't forget them.
