In A Box In San Francisco
tell me one thing though
especially for this example
if @ArianaGrande made a yes or no poll for each individual suggestion
think about how hard it would be to actually find which is which
firstly you are looking for which suggestion corresponds to which poll and then you have to vote
this would also take a lot more effort with a lot less of a net result

sure in your example resuggesting trophy changes it wouldn't be problematic but in many other suggestions people just would ignore the suggestion and it wouldn't get traffic because it would be so confusing to vote on the polls

really polls are just fine how they are

But what is wrong with changing it? There really isn't any harm in it.

With most threads, if you have already added a poll then it's already 1 poll too many ;)
I don't understand. For each suggestion thread you'll want at least one poll to see if people agree with the suggestion, right? Polls are a good way to get the general opinion because it's easier to vote than to comment so more people will do that.

I'd argue that threads like the "Massieve Suggestion Thread (PIII)" should actually be split into multiple threads with a poll each. But in the other example, having two yes/no questions would be better than a poll with 4 options. With an updated poll design it would be even campact as well.

Due to the number of votes involved, even if a poll gets 40-50 votes, that number is so low it isn't really an accurate indicator of anything other than what the forum posters think.
It's biased because specific people will vote on the poll, but it can give a very good indication of what people think about the suggestion. ANd it's the best we can get, likes on a post are way less indication and people even use that to argue that a suggestion is good.

This is YOUR daily dose of facts #55-
If a big or medium slime or magma cube is named with a name tag, and then dies, its smaller versions will have the same name.
