Not really. It's practically the same thing except that you now have a teammate that is hopefully as capable as you are.

1 + 1 will usually be better than 2. Even if you were a god tier player, you would still be hard pressed to fight against two players (unless they're a couple of complete noobs). If you want, you can have a 1v2 match by letting your team mate die off early.

Even if you were a god tier player, you would still be hard pressed to fight against two players

you are best equiped, probably this is not the best example (full diamond with gapple V 2 full iron)
but the idea is than you are best equiped

Ehhh, I dunno. I mean you can kind of do something similar in FFA. Buy better armor from /shop, and you're pretty much good to go and have fun with this concept.

is not exactly the same, is just a new gamemode 1v2 in ffa is diferent:
-the enemy can escape
-somebody can clean the 3
-the kits are very similar
-if one of the two die wilol respawn and come soon

is only a new gamemode
1good equiped v 2 bad equiped
