that kit sounds like a good idea, it should maybe have slime blocks also? if you can use then well then they help a lot lol

I get that it may be annoying to deal with, but I don't think there would be any other way to stop it without bringing a water bucket and having it in your offhand. I do that, and it's pretty effective.
I haven't noticed that yet, why would using lava be more effective on here than on other servers?

You are making it sound like uhc has been out a long time. It is pretty much brand new to the server (because of how long it was in maintenance) so people are still figuring out good strategies. Lava-ing other players is a really good strategy and should not be removed or nerfed just because of that. It is a natural part of UHC and is actually a really smart move as you can set your opponent on fire and deal lots of damage, which will help you retain more health after the fight. I would just practice quickly putting yourself out with water if you are annoyed by this strategy.

Calm down dude just trying to help make a kit, anyway I only play UHC for pure intense PVP so I can see where your coming from with the "I hate lava bucket spam"
Would be nice if you could suggest some changes that could prevent frustrations like these instead of just complaining and saying it's not good.
Sounds like an area that you should improve in then. You won't get better by not practicing.
Maybe you're doing something wrong then? I still don't see why this is a problem specific to this server. Of course in a UHC it's possible to get lava buckets. I have only been killed by lava twice and that was because I had no water. One of those times I wasn't even in a fight and it was me who placed the lava.

For all the 'new' people, there has already been a previous UHC version, however, it got outdated (1.8) and they have just released the new version...

Making the nether larger might be an option, so you have a realistic chance to get a nether fortress. I think the nether currently is 1/8 times as big as the overworld which makes sense since every accessible netherportal will teleport you inside the border on the overworld. But maybe it could be changed so the border in the nether moves at the same speed as in the overworld if they somehow handle teleporting outside the border.
