Especially if cube is just going to go for a general BR gamemode, spawn in 50-100 players 1 life with a slowly closing zone. Just wouldn't work and I doubt it would get enough players to play on the network.
Even with the larger player counts in lobbies at laters time. Cubecraft poorly implemented regions and the lobbies wouldn't fill at later times on our spinning space rock

Nothing can compete with Galaxite's Chronos for a Battle Royal.

For those concerned about 4 team maps for BedWars Solo and Duos, I doubt they'll be going anywhere. Remember, those maps are designed for both Bedrock and especially Java. If 8 team maps were to arrive, they'll be Bedrock exclusive and can coexist with the 4 team maps without replacing them.
