  • It is a reality that many players don't like the featured game that could have been chosen at the moment. That's why it came to my mind that letting players choose their featured games would definitely be a nice addition to ranks.
Now, I'm not suggesting what you think I'm suggesting. I'm not saying ranked players should have the ability to vote for the featured games. Because that would turn out to be extremely unfair. What I am proposing is to add a secondary featuring system for the use of ranked players only.

This system, I would like to call "The Time Machine". And basically the Time Machine is a place in the main lobby in which ranked players can go and play one of their favorite removed games. This spot isn't necessary, it just so you get an idea:

Let's say, the Time Machine is located where Sentinel's statue is located at the moment. Yes, the time machine would be a structure, a small one though. It just needs to look like a time machine. And it would have holograms next to it saying:

THE TIME MACHINE
Go back in Time and Play your Favorite Featured Games!

Your Time Travel Energy:
Insert amount of energy.
Next Energy Package: Insert time.

Right Click the NPC to open the Time Travel Menu!

In order for the Time Machine to work, it needs "Time Travel Energy" or any other currency that is suitable for the occasion. Ranked players would receive a certain amount of Time Travel Energy weekly, based on their rank. Ranked players should only receive enough energy to time travel no more than five times a week (view spoiler). And to prevent someone from accumulating energy, it could expire within 2 weeks of receiving it.

Weekly Time Travel Energy:
Iron: 1000 Travel Energy per Energy Package (weekly reward).
Lapiz: 2000 Travel Energy per Energy Package.
Gold: 4000 Travel Energy per Energy Package.
Diamond: 6000 Travel Energy per Energy Package.
Emerald: 8000 Travel Energy per Energy Package.
Obsidian: 10000 Travel Energy per Energy Package.
PLUS: Additional 2000.

Note: Every Time Travel costs 2k energy.

To use the Time Machine, the player would have to right-click an NPC located near the Time Machine. Which would open up the Time Travel Menu.

In the Travel Menu there would be 12 different objects to represent the 12 different featured games. When the player hovers over those items, it reveals the game's name, the amount of Energy needed to play it (which would always be 2k), and a tooltip saying "Right-click to play!".

Note: The person to purchase the Time Travel must always be the party owner.

Once the player has clicked on one of the games, they would receive an "are you sure" message and then be teleported to the game. (Together with their party if they have one). Then, a message to the whole lobby would be sent, saying something like this: "Modifying past timelines..." or "Something odd is happening, the past is now the present" (Just, something related to Time Travel).

I am still not certain of one thing though, and that is if those Time Travel games should be private or open to everyone. By open to everyone I mean that if the player who activated the Time Machine and his party haven't completely filled the lobby, people should be able to join by simply punching the NPC. (They would know when to join with the lobby messages). But if games were to be private, players would mandatorily have to be in a party to use the Time Machine. And maybe people would abuse it to give free kills to each other and never let the game end. If the games were private, they shouldn't have an impact on the player's statistics, like challenged duels.

Thanks for reading! Any Feedback is appreciated! And thanks to @Ibraa and @Herrero for helping me out with some ideas.

Do you mean with private that only ranked players can join?
And with public, can everyone join, stone as well, or only ranked? So "activating" the game would cost energy.
I think it should be public, because otherwise you need a party in order to play the game which is rather unfair imo. Not everyone has many friends. And maybe the friends don't like that certain game.
But if it's public, games provably wouldn't really fill up quickly.
And when there is a line dash game going on, can you still activate another game?

Exactly, these games should be public. By public I mean anyone can join regardless of their rank.

And yes, the time machine is only not available when it is waiting for players to join the game, after that has happened, it returns to its natural state. There can be a line dash game going on, simultaneously some people are playing BlockWars CTF and some others are playing Quakecraft.

And I doubt it’ll take long for the games to fill, with the lobby messages and all. As the most times a ranked player can use it a week is 6 times (10k for Obby plus 2k for plus), these events should be quite rare and I’m sure more than one will want to join ASAP when they see the message.
