Need Advice Please (how do i get points?)

So when i am not on skyblock, i am often failing on the so called "easy" parkour or owning the noobs in survival games and hide and seek. However, i misclicked last night and found myself returning into the assassins lobby. I figured i would play for a while and finally, after 30 minutes of flinging myself from rooftop to rooftop, killing two noobs, crouching from a diamond armour guy and looting chests, i managed to get a grand total of... 24 points. ----____----
How exactly do people get all their points? Do they just camp chests for 6 hours? I didn't check the prices of diamond armour, however i saw that the best sword in the store was 1000 points! HOW AM I EVER MEANT TO GET THAT MANY?

I have a total of 3 bookmarked. One is hard to get to and 2 is fairly close to eachother.

There is a corner of the map where people have to do parkour to get in, people usually camp in there and farm the chest that spawns there.
That's how most do it.

The hidden chests usually hold the valuable coins.
