More 1.8 pvp gamemodes [Added poll]

ehh u made some mistakes you can remove some thing from the 1.9 list
rods cause you done just those in pvp for 1.9+
snowballs
offhand/shield (no one is jusing the shield cause its unbalanced and trash with the use delay)
everything with the kb cause that removes the combo's (and i think you want to let the commbo's stay otherwise 1.9=100% trash)
and the things with 4versions cause that has nothing to do with pvp and are really good updates

Rods are usable in 1.9+ for the pull function, or you can use the kb-rod plugin like 1.8- servers do.

Snowballs are still a thing in 1.9+

Offhand for other things is still very useful, and shield is only useless on Cubecraft because it's still on 1.9, before the shield buff in 1.11. Though I admit shield could still use some changes, it's certainly not a useless item.

Uh, no actually, the kb in 1.9+ being lessened allows you to extend combos longer because players won't spontaneously fly 5 blocks away from you.

What if the attack cooldown was 0.5 seconds instead of 0.6 seconds? Then nobody could argue that it takes less skill than spamclick combat since you can do the exact same hits, you just can't click inbetween. Definitely requires more skill (sure, making the game harder isn't necessarily good, but still, SKILLS). Now in reality it's 0.125 seconds longer, not a big difference.

But they only click that fast so one of those clicks will probably be at the correct time. If you can only click at the correct time, that's undeniably harder.

Right but combos arnt a thing anymore thanks to 1.5 seconds between hits so snowballs are useless for freezing and comboing

Where did you test it? And did you test it on players or mobs? You can totally wombocombo cows in 1.8. Same for snowballs. You can freeze mobs but no players.

If you think combos aren't a thing you probably didn't play it very much. I want to see you run away between hits, 1v1 me and win that way pls.

You beat me the first time bc I lava'd myself, 2nd time because I was too lazy to gapple, then the third time when I played properly I demolished you lol, and all that with a broken right click (I use R on my keyboard for right click) and 150ms on that server lol, not to mention you were too scared to fight me in potpvp/sg. You talk so much about how 1.8 is superior yet you are so so bad at it. Also nice way of avoiding my points... LOL

I still stand by my point. You can hit and then run around in 1.9, but you won't win that way, so it doesn't matter. On Cubecraft classic duels I can actually hit and run and still win. I believe you that it's not possible on actual 1.8 servers, but I can still run, I'll just lose. How long a game takes depends on the armor. You can't use a bad strategy, lose the game and then complain that the game was boring. If both sides try to win, it is a lot more interesting.

Edit: Also yes, random duels, especially OP duels on cubecraft are boring. That's not because of the 1.9 combat but because the players are bad. Also if you only play with 150-200ms ping it might not be as fun as 1.9 combat with normal ping.

Well that proves you are bad. Again that proves you are bad. The third time I lost by half a heart lol. I wanted to play potpvp but you insisted on sg which I suck at.Not my problem you broke all that stuff.

It is. You said combos aren't a thing because you can hit and run. If you do that, you will lose the game, because every now and then I'll get a second hit on you while you can never get a second hit on me. If both sides try to win, there definitely are combos of more than two hits.

At this point you're just being willfully ignorant. I must have told you at least 8 times by now that the time between attacks in 1.9+ is only .62 seconds. That cooldown is definitely short enough that snowball-stalling can be a thing.

If you run away between hits, you lose. It doesn't really matter if you have 0.125 seconds longer to run away. I have a chance to get a second hit while you don't. It's not a viable strategy. You could as well argue that 1.8 combat is boring because I can take off all my armor to end a game quickly without fighting.

Are you actually joking? Where did I get the information about the attack cooldown in 1.9+? I dunno, maybe from playing 1.9+ and seeing how long I had to wait between fully-charged swings, the Minecraft Wiki, or just basic math - just take the inverse of the "1.6 attack speed" value that's stated on every sword, and you get .625 seconds (rounded down to .6 due to the way that Minecraft ticks work).
