Practice killing both adults and baby wolves in singleplayer. It boils down to timing your hits just as you would in PvP. I found it best to attack when they're leaping.

Wolves are NOT OP if you can kite them. Kite them properly = zero damage taken from wolves. They're only "OP" if people fail to dodge them or get stuck in a corner.

Yeah. They also have low HP so yeah.

Also the sweep attack does work on wolves so you can use that to your advantage.
