Annoyingly, in Minecraft you cannot change the volume of the thunder sound. You can only switch it on or off. In Survival Games having the sound on is often helpful because it informs you that a player was killed and gives you the direction even if you don't see the lightning strike. During the thunderstorm world event however, there is a constant thunder blasting at full volume so I usually turn the weather sounds off.

My suggestion is that you make the thunder silent and play the sound effect as a regular weather sound instead so it is affected by the weather volume settings. You could either do this for all lightnings or only for lightnings from the thunderstorm world event.

I think thunder sound belongs to weather, but correct me if I'm wrong. So try to turn that down to 0% and see what it gives. If the thunder sound dissapeares Cube don't need to change anything, otherwise making the sound silent would be an option. :)

That sound is so annoying, even with the lowest sound setting it is extremely, and when someone posts a video about, and people watch and they are listening with headphones, this sound will kill their ears. +1

He pointed out that the thunder of the thunder storm is extremely annoying and that he doesn't like it, but he doesn't want to turn off the sound of thunder because there is thunder whenever someone gets killed and e listens to the sound of the thunder to locate the players.

But he likes to listen to the thunder when someone gets killed, so he can locate them and slay them.
Oh yeah forgot about that...
Problem is if they remove thunder sound woundn't every thunder strike be silent...

Somewhere
I do agree that the thunder sound might be a bit too loud, yet even though I barely play it and have no problem with it.
It can be loud.
