Heya CubeCrafters! We're excited to share an updated look at our Community Events programme. These events have come a long way since they first began, and we're committed to continuing them with the same creativity, intention, and excitement you've come to expect. We can't wait to bring you more engaging experiences on a regular basis!
Community Events
These events include our community games, micro-events, and CubeCraft League. Fun experiences organised by members of our team for everyone to enjoy! They offer a chance for us to spend time with you as a community, and for you to get to know the people behind CubeCraft on a more personal level.
All of this happens while giving you the opportunity to take part in exciting challenges and win some spectacular prizes along the way!
Community Games
Community games are a fun monthly event hosted in our official Discord server. Our hosts create parties and play games chosen by community votes with participants. These events are hosted on Java and Bedrock simultaneously and usually last for 1-2 hours. At the end of the event, we take a group screenshot and two lucky participants win a raffle prize!
How to participate
To join a community game, you'll first need to be part of our official Discord server. Once the event starts, the stages will open up for everyone to join. You can enter your username in the stage chat. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis, so we'll invite the fastest players until the party is full. However, as soon as someone leaves, you can take their place!
We'll announce the event on the Forums and Discord a week in advance. To stay updated, keep your notifications on for the Events and Competitions subforum, or grab the "@Events" tag on the Discord server by clicking on 'Channels and Roles' at the top of your channel list to be tagged in our Discord announcements!
Participation prizes
Yes, there are prizes just for participating in community games! Two lucky players per party will be chosen by raffle at the end to receive some cool prizes. The prizes are...
Community Micro-Events
Micro-events are short, creative challenges that players can complete in their own time during a set period. Unlike community games, these events don't require you to join a live party. Instead, you'll capture a specific moment, attempt, or achievement in-game and submit it as your entry. Each micro-event focuses on a fun objective, whether it's pulling off a stylish play, completing a challenge, or showcasing a unique moment. At the end, the micro-events team reviews all eligible submissions and awards prizes to the winners!
You may remember our previous official competitions. Since community micro-events were launched, competitions were merged into this format so that all challenge-based events fall under a single structure. Micro-events now carry the competitive spirit of those earlier competitions.
How to participate
Micro-events take place entirely on our official Discord server. When a new micro-event is announced, you'll find everything you need included in the announcement itself, including the challenge details, submission channel, and any event-specific requirements. As rules and guidelines differ from event to event, please make sure to read the announcement carefully before taking part as misconduct in micro-events could lead to consequences!
We'll announce each micro-event on Discord using the "@Events" tag, so be sure to grab it by clicking on 'Channels and Roles' at the top of your channel list if you'd like to stay updated on future challenges.
Winner prizes
More prizes? You betcha! Winners are chosen based on creativity, execution, or how well they meet the event's criteria. Prizes for micro-events can vary depending on the challenge and several other factors, so we don't announce a fixed prize list. Please note that micro-events do not offer participation prizes. Only the selected winners will receive rewards.
CubeCraft League
Looking for something more competitive? Then you'll be excited to hear that we also host official tournaments! These tournaments happen multiple times a year, and include game modes such as EggWars, BlockWars and BedWars. They are hosted on Java and Bedrock simultaneously. If this sounds interesting, you can join our dedicated CubeCraft League Discord server!
How to Participate
Our tournaments are organised in the Discord server linked above. Simply join the server, then keep an eye out on the #announcements channel to find out when sign ups open for the next tournament! Exactly how you can sign up will be explained at the time. If a tournament is currently ongoing when you join the server, you will not be able to participate in it. However, most of our matches are streamed live so you will be able to catch those while you wait for the next one!
Winner Teams Prizes
Exclusive prefixes and profile borders are on offer for Bedrock winners, and Java winners can win exclusive emotes. These cannot be won in any other way! There are additional prizes available as well - you can find the full list in the #prizes channel in the Discord server. The winners will also have their player models appear on a podium in the lobby!
We hope this updated overview gives you a clear picture of what to expect from our Community Events, including Community games, Micro-Events, and CubeCraft League. Whether you’re joining us for a relaxed game, tackling a creative challenge, or competing in the league, we’re excited to experience these moments with you. If you spot any mistakes or need further clarification on anything, feel free to start a conversation with me or open a ticket on our Discord server. Special thank you to @Lyriie for helping me put this together, and thank you all for being such an incredible part of our community. We can’t wait to share even more events with you soon!
