This is not a good idea. You have given very little detail and have left out things like which game modes, which items, and why this would improve the server.

I don't know maybe so that if you're teamed you don't have to worry about people coming in an taking your stuff. I would be helpful if simba actually told us though. (hint hint)

Pretty much every game more you can already do this so there are two things this could be:

Like @RockBob4 said could simply be safely trading items in assassins OR
trading cosmetics you get from cubelets

First one can be useful but the second one I don't like at all
