Hi everyone, and specifically to the CubeCraft Development and Staff Team.

Im Dafflovesosa and this is my first Thread on forum. I am making this thread because, quite frankly, I am completely exhausted. I love CubeCraft, and I love BedWars, but the current state of this gamemode has reached a point where it is genuinely no longer fun to play.

Today alone, I had to record, upload, and file 5 separate reports for blatant cheaters within just a matter of minutes. Think about that for a second. Five reports in one single session.

This August feels exactly like the horrific wave of hackers we suffered back in April. Every single match I queue into-whether it's Solo, Duo, or Team BedWars-there is a massive chance that someone will start flying across the map, scaffolding instantly over the void, or using killaura to wipe out entire teams. It feels like honest, loyal players are being punished just for trying to play the game normally.

Here is the harsh reality that is burning me and many other active players out:

1. Sentinel feels completely invisible against blatant hacks.

I understand that anti-cheat development is incredibly difficult and you want to prevent false bans for laggy players. But how can someone fly in a straight line or drop dozens of blocks instantly via scaffold without triggering an automatic kick or ban? Sentinel is failing to stop the most obvious, game-breaking movements right now.

2. The burden of keeping the server clean shouldn't fall on us.

Why are honest players forced to act as the primary anti-cheat? It takes time to record gameplay, it drains our device storage, and it takes genuine effort to render, upload to YouTube, and fill out forum reports. I am doing this work for free to help the server, only to see the cheating problem get worse

3. Manual reports must mean PERMANENT BANS.

No mercy. If a robot bans someone, a temporary ban makes sense due to network errors. But if an active player spends their own time providing undeniable, clear video evidence of someone cheating, that person should be permanently banned instantly. There should be no second chances or 30-day slaps on the wrist. Giving temporary bans for manual reports feels like a total disrespect to the players who spent their time recording them

4. The endless alternate account loop.

Cheaters openly laugh at us in the chat. They know that even if they get banned, the current IP/VPN restrictions are so easy to bypass that they can create a fresh alternate account and rejoin the next match in less than a minute.

I am writing this because I deeply care about CubeCraft, but our patience is running thin. I cannot keep playing this endless game of "cat and mouse."

Please, CubeCraft. Listen to your active players. I tired of being full-time recorders. We just want to play BedWars in peace.

Best regards,

Dafflovesosa

I agree with you, nowadays hackers are not detectable by sentinel.
I hope it gets resolved ASAP.
Thankyou!!

You're right, the numbers should drop once summer ends. But still, Sentinel definitely needs a serious update to handle these blatant hacks better.

Yeah, this is a good point actually. I thought I was reporting a lot more hackers than usual. Didn't realise it was because of the summer holidays/August

Which countries do cheaters usually come from?

extra information. I reported 13 cheaters this August, compared to 12 last April. it seems August really is seeing a wave of cheaters.

about sentinel, it bans people with ten fps by normal clicking and refuses to ban hackers. the moderators, especially in asia servers, are asleep a lot of the time, so actually getting a hacker banned is hugely tedious and more exhausting [as you mentioned] than it ever should be.

I do agree with the fact that the Sentinel hardly catches cheaters (and sometimes bans people who dont cheat) and developing the Sentinel to keep it up to date is incredibly difficult and costly, however, a /Sr report also makes a moderator (if they're online) spectate the cheater and watch his movements, which is useful to catch cheaters but it requires a moderator to be online in game, also as many people said, Sentinel is currently being worked on by an anti-cheat developer (which is great)

Giving temporary bans for manual reports feels like a total disrespect to the players who spent their time recording them
I do have to disagree with this one because its just way too unfair to ban someone permanently for cheating once, yes I get the time it takes to clip someone cheating and the amount of time it takes for the report to be reviewed (sometimes the report takes days to be reviewed), however its still unfair to ban someone cheating for the first time, and sometimes even the manual bans can be wrong since the mods are humans like us who can still mistakes when reviewing reports, and cheating bans can escalate to permanent if the punished player continues to cheat after their ban has expired (for multiple times) or if they're bypassing their bans using an alt account (and also evidences provided in cheating reports can be unclear or difficult to tell if the reported player is cheating or not)

4. The endless alternate account loop.

Cheaters openly laugh at us in the chat. They know that even if they get banned, the current IP/VPN restrictions are so easy to bypass that they can create a fresh alternate account and rejoin the next match in less than a minute.
I do believe there is a limit for creating multiple accounts before Microsoft blocks you from making more, although im not sure if this true or not, although the VPN bypassing situation is also serious as its easy to bypass.
