Since we see so many hackers in assassins and we need to report them, it would be easier if we could spectate the game in assassins as it would be easier to find the hackers and report them.

Maybe a command such as /spectate or somewhere where you click and you can spectate the game.

EDIT: Just to clear this up, this command would only be able to be accessed in lobbies.

It would be very easy to record hackers then but I think only Staff is allowed to go in 'Spectate' mode.

This is already been suggested before. I like it but I think it would be better that only staff can spectate. Or else the chat is maybe 50% of people that are in spectator mode to:
  • Record hackers
  • Ghost their friends

Even if most people are in spectator mode to record hackers, then isn't that a good thing? People would be recording and reporting more of the hackers in Assassins and I currently know that there is a hacker problem in assassins.

Also by ghosting their friends is it a big deal if they do? In skywars there is a possibility of ghosting and Cubecraft still takes the risk of letting there be a spectator mode, so why not in Assassins?

I don't like this.

This will be abused alot.

Could you please explain to why this could be abused?

My stance is that there is a maximum amount of players per game, when spectating you aren't going to be playing and are taking the spot of someone willing to play the game.
Saying the name of the hacker out loud helps us staff locate the hacker. Staff is very present in assassinations as opposed to other gamemodes. Hackers seem to like assassinations more than the other gamemodes as they are continuously rewarded with better gear for killing people. Staff are not always seen as we often hide from the players so the hackers don't turn their hacks off as soon as they notice a mod is on, if you see a mod is on /tell him names of hackers but don't mention his name out loud in main chat unless his presence has already been "compromised" if I can say it like that.

Not necesarry, just chase the hacker down, it's not that hard.

Plus, I could see some players abusing /spectate to get out of losing their items. Granted, they could code it to only be done when out of combat and away from players. Though, I still don't like the idea of letting players that aren't staff (staff = helper+) have access to such a command.

1. They would only be able to access this command in lobbies.
2. You are able to spectate in games such as Skywars and Eggwars once your dead anyways. What harm would there be if a non-staff member to spectate a game?

I'm sure staff can't be in assassins all the time so it's always good for the community to record and report.
Also, there is maximum 40 players in game, and there are two lobbies of each map in assassins. If friends wish to play assassins together, I'm sure there would be a lobby where they could play, and where there would be a good amount of people. What harm would a couple of players who are spectating do to a lobby in Assassins? If everyone in assassins starts to spectate then maybe that would be a problem but other than that I don't see it as a thing which could be abused.

how can that be abused? If a hacker kills you, you can spectate them for video instead of Looking for them which can take a long time.
If someone almost kill you, you just can go into "spectate mode".

Next time, check first if there have been made other threads about the same subject. This has been suggested a 10.000 times.

Commands like that don't go across servers. Meaning if someone does /spectate in the main pvp lobby, they wouldn't be able to join a game (unless they can right click and choose) as punching as a spectator will have them spectate whatever they punch.

If you are meaning lobbies, as in, the area where you spawn in after death. Then, that's not as bad. Though, still not a fan.

It's different in Skywars and Eggwars. You are put into spectate mode by the game as a result of death, not through a command. Also, when you are put into spectate, you are already in that game instance and not in a main lobby.

I'm not saying there's any harm in it. I'm mainly saying that I don't like the idea of giving normal players (not staff) access to such a command.
