Yesterday I was playing eggwar on the map underdasea, got an enderpearl and throwed him on the highed on wich i would should an arrow, 10 meter above the island or so. I was throwing from the middle island. I did this 2 times and both times I diddnt teleport? I dont know why, did i throw to high or to low? It pissed me off cause it cost me 128 daimonds=p
how to throw? Witch angle?
Thanks

You need video evidence to proof that the enderpearl was aiming for the island, and didn't fall into the void.

You should take note, shooting an arrow and throwing an enderpearl is different.
Go into a game of skywars, get a bow and shoot. Hold that angle and try throwing a snowball/egg (throwing angle is the same with the epear) - You will notice the distance is quite big.
You need to aim higher, stack up with a wall behind you (so you wont get shot off) and throw from that angle, the higher the better.

This is why you missed:

The further you are from where you want to shoot at (with the same angle of the bow shot, the lower it will fall from where you planned to.

You need to practice it. I used to be bad at throwing enderpearls but I played like 500 games of OP skywars and know now how to use them (sometimes I still fail xd).

Just use an egg or a snowball as a ''test enderpearl'' and then you know where your enderpearl will fall :p

^ When you imply it and no one gives a damn

When a staff suggests it, everyone loses their cool.
(I'm just joking, I guess not everyone can see the implication)

But back to topic, train your snowballs and eggs in skywars and improve your sense of estimation since estimating is the key to aiming your arrows and enderpearls and once you're confident with your estimation abilities, you can go back to eggwars OP mode and throw your enderpearl with confidence.

You would need video proof to show that he didn't miss the island, if he did then this isn't a bug and its a time waster.

I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting to know how to throw the epear. He didn't know the angle wasn't the same. I'm sure it's all fine now, it's never a waste of time to help someone learn.

He was asking why video proof is needed. The developers don't want to look into the problem if it was only a enderpearl miss. How do we know if you missed or not? I wouldn't be time wasting to learn, but its a time waster if he just missed the enderpearl in the first place, and we could of just known by video evidence.

Its good for him you know that the angle was off, but video proof would of answered his and our question a long time ago, and my work would of been finished and I would of unwatched this thread.

He may have thought it was a bug, if you read the thread in more details you could clearly see he doesn't know whether his angle was right or not as he shot the epear in the way he would with a bow.
That would lower the chances of it being a bug and more to miscalculation on his part. As a community, we would give him advice on it and regarding the bug, tell him what he has to do the next time he think he has encounter a bug instead of thinking it's a waste of time and unwatching the thread. Correct him, not everyone can get video proof, sometimes you just got to squeeze details out of him to figure out what is wrong.

What do you mean by "work"?
Do you see this as something placed on your desk and once answered, you'll put it away? It doesn't seem welcoming. It's although you're helping players for the sake of it, not caring about their concerns and what not. Correct me if I'm wrong because that's what I interpreted from your reply.

Edit: His OP was more of a question than a bug (and posted under suggestion by mistake I'm assuming.)
I apologize for any typo as I'm on my mobile device.

If you read these guildlines: https://www.cubecraft.net/threads/how-to-ask-for-help-how-to-report-a-bug.1629
You can see that a method of proof is needed. How can cubecraft know that its a bug if there isn't proof that it exists. The developers cannot do anything, if they don't know what they're looking at or for.

The word "work" doesn't mean to sit at a desk, its a matter of speaking, I come here on the forums to supply my help, I'm "working" to help the user. Sometimes I need to research the problem and "work" to get to the bottom of the problem.

I've read that, the player who posted the thread clearly doesn't know how to post bug reports though I'm pretty sure he was just asking questions on why it didn't hit and never mentioned if he thought it was a bug or not.

If you click on his profile, you can see that he is still pretty new at the forums (from his postings) despite joining on Feb 2016.
So it would be a given that he doesn't know the guidelines (If he was intending to do a bug report)

Now play along with me for a bit, imagine this is a rare situation of the player not being able to record video proof and he just can't get it no matter what, what can we do if that's the case?
We would have to get more details out, what version, mods, how did it occur and so on, after that what we can do is try to replicate what has happened to him. That's one way to adapt to it.
Not all situation would be easy to handle with a look at the proof, there are times you need to throw in more effort into figuring out the problem.

I mean there are times where unexpected/hard situations will come out that you won't be able to look into as easily as others might. Hope you where I'm coming from.
