Remember Minecraft Way back when people played on minecraft.net, One of the main servers people played on were Laval survival's.

You get like 15-35 minutes to build, team up,etc then for like 10 minutes lava starts pouring out from the sky(Donators could vote if the lava came down faster or slower from the sky, People would be able to buy kits that help them build, or mine, be safer from lava, or help with PVP)
There Would also be different maps, PVP would be enable on in the 10 minutes of lava pouring down. Also if you just dig straight down and make your base at the bottom of the map you wouldn't get much points if any,but if you made your base at the top of the map you would get additional points

Different Blocks would melt at different rates, you would be able to mine the map for materials to build weapons and armor with or to build your base with

Thing i'm not sure about is
-How many people would be in a game
-Would this be a mini-game or its only separate game in CCG?
-Would this be to hard to make?

There was a recently added gamemode called "Hourglass" which sounds similar. Perhaps you should try that, since I cannot imagine the game that you have described as being an easy one to implement. Good suggestion though :)

If you can make a base, why wouldn't you just make a house to hide from the lava inside of and camp forever until the other team quit? I've never played this game so I don't speak from experience, but it does sound like it encourages camping. As @superxsnap said above, Hour Glass is very similar to this.

Sorry i made a mistake, the whole game it self would be about 5-10 minutes
The point to build a base is not to camp, its to survive from the lava, so you would have to make thick blocks that would be about to withstand the lava, which would be able to melt blocks at different rate

I've played that game like... 3 years ago? It was really fun to play, but you exagerated a bit on the times, as far as I know it was 5 minute build time and 15 minute survival time.
Since it was so long ago and we played on minecraft classic, we had unlimited blocks on these:

(That screenshot was taken today)
The thing was, there was no PvP, It was just a waiting game, but, the games had different difficulties: Easy Normal and Hard. Lava could destroy blocks and the higher the difficulty was, the more blocks the lava could destroy. I'll put a video on for you (not mine):

What we could do, is: have a map, have kits (miner, survivor, etc), when the game starts, it says the difficulty of the round, when the game starts, lets say 5 minutes of gathering resources, I have the miner kit for example, In the gathering of resources, i'll go and mine some blocks, and when that time finishes, the building time starts, and lets say that is 5 minutes again, I'll go and build a "bunker" with my resources, and when the building time is done, the lava starts pouring down (now depeinding on the difficulty, the more difficult the game is, the quicker the lava pours down on you), and when the lava has contact on blocks it burns them, for example (this was 3 years ago): Sand turned into glass, Wool turned into coal ore, gold, iron, diamond blocks turned into coal. When the blocks turned into coal ores, it means that the ore is about to disappear and let the lava flow in. And if the lava catches you, your out, also, you can build any time in the game except the time when gathering resources. Oh and another thing i forgot to mention, the lava could spread itself upwards.

This is an example we could do if the game was implemented. 8P
