Hi i think the top killers and top winners , get a rank, or can do more than the others

The honor of having others see your name as being the player with the most kills out of thousands of others or potentially the best skywars player on the server is, in my opinion, reward enough; you shouldn't be playing this server for free ranks or for glory, you should be playing it for entertainment and enjoyment.

I heard elsewhere that this was confirmed by an admin on the server that a leaderboard will come to the forums in the future.

That would be great, you know, to see how you are doing and try to play to have a better rank :D

Leaderboards can be quite motivating, since there's always somebody better than you (unless you're #1 i suppose), so it's a good way of tracking your progress and seeing how much you've improved over a set period of time :)

Well i wouldn't see what would be wrong with it since the ranks don't give any beneficial perks, but surely being on a plinth of the top 5 players for everybody to see is reward enough, right?

I dont think it's a good idea anyway (Apart from the fact that I fail really hard at any game xD)

I do not suspect that having those with a certain position on the top kills/wins leaderboard obtaining a rank is against the EULA regulations. They wouldn't exactly acquire anything that would make gameplay, against other stone members, easier for those who would receive a rank.

On topic: I do not believe that this would be as fair to donors and would stir up some sort of complication between a paying donor and one who obtains a rank by playing the game. Simply keeping conflict out of the servers community would be great.. :P
