News 1.8 Name changing

One thing I'm dying to know is when creatives going to be in 1.8???

As i said, hopefully in the near future, there is no date yet.

Sorry if this sounds selfish or rude of me, but can you put lots of work into keeping the skyblock/creative/whatever plots or islands? I want to change my name, but I do not want to lose my island. If I do not log onto the server, would it still delete my island?

So my question is:

If you add your new player name to ALL of your creative plots, when you change your name, will the plots of your previous name still be there and will you be added still?

Technically, that would work. For the creative server a name change is like a new player joining it.

So i'm not really sure if it's worth risking a name change. I don't play the server much anymore, but i obviously don't want to lose my skyblock. I've been considering the name Diglett_Snap by the way :)
Any idea when we can expect this name changing system to be risk-free?

As long i know every player is asigned with a special identification code like...45d2-h1z1-r3c8...so...why...isnt better from now set plot/faction/skyblock owner/member known as her/his code?
